Samsung C&T Corporation held the "Go Together" history class by visiting historical sites of Shilla dynasty on October 13th and 14th.
The event provided over 70 participants -- 40 people from multicultural families, 20 people from families of employees, and 10 managing staff members – with opportunities for historical discussions and to visit historical sites of Shilla dynasty located in Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do.
The participants learned about the lifestyle, culture, arts, diplomacy, and other historical contents through various missions and historical explanation at different sites of the Shilla dynasty, including Cheomseongdae Observatory, Bulguksa Temple, Daereungwon Tomb Complex, and National Gyeongju Museum.
In addition, they developed diversified viewpoints of history by having discussions on two topics – “Unification of Goguryeo, Baekje, and Shilla” and “Golpumje - Bone rank social status system.”
“It was worthwhile to listen to stories about Shilla dynasty while visiting various important historical sites in Gyeongju with children,” said Min-jung Jo from Chemical Team who attended the event as a volunteer worker.
Samsung C&T Corporation has been supporting children from multicultural families since 2006 and is holding various events every year like “Go Together and Walk Together”.
