In celebration of the “Family Month of May”, Samsung C&T Corporation and Pearl S. Buck Foundation Korea co-hosted the “Walk Together Fun Picnic” on May 12th, gathering families of Samsung employees and multicultural families.
At the event were a total of hundred and fifty people with 90 multicultural families, 40 family members of Samsung employees, and 20 volunteers from Pearl S. Buck Foundation, which was held at the Korean Folk Village. During the morning session, the participating families were divided into groups for team-building activities such as group rope skipping, shuttlecock game, and balloon send-offs. In the afternoon, they were able to enjoy activities including rice cake making and history quizzes after touring all corners of the Village.
Manager Jackie Jang from the HR Team who was also an attendee said, “At first, my child was shy and awkward, but the various activities at the event allowed him to naturally mingle with the other kids. We were able to have a very memorable time as a family,” he said.
Samsung C&T and Pearl S. Buck Foundation Korea have been co-sponsoring children from multicultural families since 2006. The company plans to continue its support to provide a range of activities for these children to achieve their dreams.
